These two drawings of " women's work" were evidently studies for frescoes above an acrh of an unknown building, probably in St. Louis. Burlingame studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Art Students League of N.Y. She was a member of the St. Louis Artist's Guild. Much of her sculpture is in St. Louis. The above works suggest Puvis de Chavannes but have a Modernist's use of color.
